  8. The Park is in the central part of the state, in San Antonio. The Park includes Missions Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, and Espada.

  13. POINTS OF INTEREST
  14. Four Spanish frontier missions, part of a colonization system that stretched across the Spanish Southwest in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, are commemorated here. Mission Espada's irrigation system is preserved, which consists of a stone dam and aqueduct and about five miles of irrigation ditch. It is the country's best preserved Spanish Colonial irrigation system.
